Persistent unauthorised absence is reported to parents and the figures form part of employer and university references.

If your absence is for a valid reason (discuss this with your form tutor) you will be marked absent, this is authorised and will not be reported. Please notify tutors well in advance if you know you will be absent from lessons and complete an absence slip, this is a common courtesy.

Holidays should not be taken in school time.

If you are on holiday during school term time you are considered to be absent without authorisation.

Students can seek permission to miss school to go on holiday by submission of a holiday form available from the school General Office.

Students must not book routine doctor and dental appointments or driving lessons during school time.
