Parents’ support and involvement is essential for the success of the student. Parents can be involved in many ways. They can encourage their child to record achievements by signing their child's planner to confirm that something has been achieved. Parents can discuss achievements with their child and perhaps help to set targets for the future. It is also possible for parents to liaise with staff through the planner. This often addresses minor problems that occur over things like homework before they become serious. When parents need to discuss more difficult issues concerning their children, they are encouraged to contact school and speak to the respective Year Leader/Head of Department.
Parents are expected to attend the annual review and parents’ evening.
We inform parents of any vacancies on the Governing Body and fresh faces are always welcome.
